Divinamente Maranhense is a project with many fronts and has the goal of increasing the value of the workforce of people in the state of Maranhão and presenting local cultures, in order to inspire identification and passion for people from Maranhão for their own culture.
The challenge was to reflect the vitality and creativity of local cultures and create a visual identity that lives in the tension between the historical-sensorial and the modern-elegant.
O projeto possui diferentes partes e suas frentes incluem desde um restaurante de culinária local e venda de produtos artesanais, até eventos, workshops de cultura e possíveis projetos sociais. Para retratar a mensagem de muitas partes que formam um projeto unificado, tomei partido de um elemento muito marcante na história da capital Maranhense, o azulejo.
Cada tipo de azulejo traz em si um significado e memória, e através de suas diferentes combinações, foi possível trazer identificação para cada frente.
The project has many parts and its fronts range from a restaurant of local culinary and sale of handmade products to events, cultural workshops and possible social projects. To convey the message of many parts that build one unified project, I took advantage of a very striking element in the history of the capital of Maranhão, the tiles.
Each type of tile brings with it a meaning and memory, and through its different combinations, it was possible to bring identification to each front.
